This calculator allows to control electromagnetic brakes on the new generation trucks using datas coming from truck Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and Electronic Braking System (EBS) to improve security and drive confort.
This is performed by an interface with a CAN (Controller Area Network) bus, that is used by all the truck control systems to exchange all the electronic parameters (speed, ABS, braking request, …).
Because of the common use of this braking system, APS has developed several software applications compliant with communication protocols of the major manufacturers.

Communication on CAN bus comply with SAEJ1939 standard.
There are two possibilities for diagnostic: In board or Off board. Off board diagnosis is performed using common KWP2000 (ISO9141) line. On board diagnosis in insured by CAN interface that can be adapted to answer to any manufacturer’s specific instructions.
